Cory Wagstaff

I am a co-founder of Chanim Industries LLC and am primarily responsible for business operations and marketing efforts. I am also the Editor in Chief and a contributing author of the blog.

My passions are technology and business, especially how the two collate. I have a BS Degree in Business Management from Utah Valley University and will begin the MBA program there shortly.

I believe that everyone can learn something from anyone else so I will do my best to impart my knowledge and experiences in hopes that you will be able to learn something by reading this blog, as well as enjoy yourself.

I am the husband of a beautiful woman and the father of two amazing children, a girl and a boy.

I have been intrigued by electronics and technology pretty much my entire life. One of the first memories that I have related to technology was when I was about 5 years old. My dad had two old VCRs that were no longer working. He sat my 7 year old brother and I down and explained that the machines no longer worked and he wanted us to take them apart and put them back together, piece by piece. >

Let’s get this out of the way so we can get down to the nitty gritty: this phone is BIG. The size of the phone isn’t the only beastly thing about this device. Without getting too geeky on you, it is running top of the line hardware (at the time it was released) as well. That means an extremely pixel dense screen, blazing fast processor and enough RAM and storage capacity to cure your grandmother’s dementia. This is a beast in all senses of the word. The question is: Is this a Goliath just waiting to be slain, or a true warrior that refuses to be outdone. >

Why is courage something that we should develop? After all, we’re not gladiators fighting to the death in an arena or warriors wielding swords of justice, unless you spend your free time LARPing. Most of us (meaning those of you who likely read this blog and myself) are working class citizens with pretty cushy lives when compared to ancient Japanese Samurai or Roman Gladiators. >

Microsoft makes it clear in its marketing onslaught that this is meant to be a device that can replace your laptop. With configurations up to a Core i7 Processor, 8GB RAM and a 512GB SSD it is no slouch. The model that I tested came equipped with a Core i5/4GB RAM/128GB SSD and it was just as speedy (if not more so) than any other laptop I’ve tested with similar specifications. >
